Activities

Our community has taken on the organizing or supporting of various activities since the end of the 90's. The Istanbul Go Tournament, which has been held annually since 2001 setting the standards for other national tournaments and gradually raising the overall quality, is our main event. Our other activities include: hosting visiting professional players, making and managing their schedules, organizing local tournaments, promoting Go at universities and other foundations, supporting the foundation of Go clubs in local universities and tutoring at these clubs. Istanbul Go Tournament

Excluding coming together to play, Istanbul Go Tournaments are our main activity. With its ever increasing participants and now in the international scene it deserves its own section. Please click here to proceed.


Monthly City Tournaments

As of January 2011 we have been organizing club tournaments twice a month. They take place in our usual meeting places on the Asian and European sides. There is a small participation fee (5TL) which has been and will be used to obtain game clocks for the club. Since the tournaments are mostly targeted towards players residing in the city they are only announced in our facebook groups and mailing lists.
